In today's crazy and busy world, where we are overbooked and overwhelmed, our mind needs this quiet time that we know as meditation.
Our minds need downtime, too, and there are many types of meditation practices that you can choose from.
The beauty of it is that if one type of meditation doesn't work for you one day, you can try another type. You can adjust the type that you choose according to your time available and the mood you are in.
Science says meditation can assist your mind and body in calming down.
Meditation can decrease stress and stress-related conditions if performed regularly.
Not only that, it has been shown to improve memory. I am not sure about this one, though, as I meditate often, and my memory is terrible, haha!
Regular meditation may help increase mental clarity and assist with your attention span, allowing you to stay focused longer. Meditation can assist with falling asleep, which is understandable as you are in a relaxed altered state.
It has been shown over time that it can help decrease blood pressure in people who meditate regularly. Regular meditation helps reduce anxiety and the occurrence of depression.
So there are a lot of health benefits associated with meditating regularly. It's great for the mind and body. Everyone's experiences will feel different because we are all unique individuals.

Meditation is a deep state of rest that allows you to calm the mind and allows you to get in touch with your higher self. It allows us to stop that monkey mind and connect to our spirit or our higher self. Because how do we hear them or connect if our mind is always churning?
Meditation is the very best tool to access your subconscious and get a greater connection to something bigger than yourself.
During meditation, you are focusing on yourself and your inner being, It allows your random thoughts to just float by. When you quiet your mind, you can more easily connect with your spiritual self - your higher self. It is basically just being with the essence of who you are.
It's being in the moment and being with yourself.
Meditation and guided meditations are great for expanding your awareness and developing your psychic abilities.
They can teach you to visualise, feel, hear and become aware of spirit and your spirit guides around you. It can help you develop your intuition.
When you have a solid meditation practice, it can help you to focus on your feelings and emotions in a way that you can observe them and know how to react to them. When you get that gut feeling, you can observe it and know how to act on that feeling. When noticing your feelings, you know what your own emotions feel like and why and where they are coming from.
Then when you sense someone else's feelings and emotions, you know the difference. When you are aware of your own thoughts and feelings through being mindful, you will know when you are getting information from someone else.
Having a strong meditation practice and learning how to focus your mind will help you to strengthen your intuitive abilities.
You don't have to do long meditations if you don't want to. I like to do a few different types of meditation daily if I can. I do mindful meditation, grounding, and sitting in the power. If I have time I will sit with spirit to blend for trance training.
Find a meditation that works for you, one that resonates.
